Man Wanted By U.S. Marshals Found In Westlake
Police said they were investigating a suspicious car when they stumbled onto the man's motel room.
WESTLAKE, OH — A wanted man was found at a Westlake motel this month. Police said they found narcotics and a handgun in the man's possession.
On May 5, police spotted a suspicious car parked at the Super 8 Hotel on Sperry. Officers saw narcotics and a gun sitting in the car, in plain view, according to police.
While police were checking out the car, a woman approached them saying she knew who was driving the car. She led them to a motel room with four people inside, one of whom was the owner of the car.

One of the men in the room was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service for escaping. The man, 29-year-old who told police he was homeless, was taken into custody and turned over to the Marshals.
The handgun from the car was confiscated by police and has been sent to a laboratory for testing. Everyone else in the room was let go, police said.
