Meth Found On Man Whittling Stick Near Westlake Home
Police said the man could not explain why he was near the house.

WESTLAKE, OH — A man was seen whittling a stick outside of a Westlake resident's shed on Wednesday afternoon. The man told police he had meth and a pipe and had just smoked.
At 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, callers told police a man was possibly breaking into a shed on Westwood Road. When police arrived, the man was sitting on the ground, near the shed, whittling a stick.
The man was taken into custody without incident, and he told police he had meth and a pipe with him. He told officers he had just smoked the meth.

The man could not explain why he was in the Westwood Road yard or what he was doing near the shed, except to say he had a "friend" inside the shed.
Officers could not book the man immediately because he was intoxicated. Charges for drug abuse are pending, police said.
