Narcan Given To Driver Who Crashed Car On I-90
Police said they found signs of drug abuse and open containers of alcohol in the man's car.
WESTLAKE, OH — Police had to give an anti-overdose drug to a man who crashed his car on I-90 West near Clague Road. Officers found signs of drug use and alcohol in the man's vehicle.
At 11:30 p.m. on April 10, police were called to a crash on I-90. Witnesses said the driver appeared to be unconscious.
Officers from Westlake and Rocky River converged on the scene. They found open containers of alcohol and signs of drug abuse in the man's car.

Narcan — an anti-overdose drug typically used to counteract opioids — was given to the driver. He regained consciousness and was taken to St. John Medical Center for treatment.
Witnesses told police the man's car had been swerving off the road since it passed by Lakewood on I-90. The driver, a 36-year-old Cleveland man, has been accused of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and having an open container of alcohol while driving.

The driver has also been cited with failure to control his car and driving with a suspended license. The Lorain County Sheriff's department had a felony warrant for the man's arrest, for a dangerous drug charge, and was notified of his whereabouts.
