Nordson Corporation Installs Sculpture In Westlake
The company installed a new 2,400 pound sculpture, dedicated to its employees, at its headquarters in Westlake.

WESTLAKE, OH - Nordson Corporation, which has its global headquarters in Westlake, honored its employees on Monday with the dedication of a ten-foot diameter globe sculpture designed and donated by Richard E. Nord, one of the company's founding family members.
The sculpture is meant to be a tribute to Nordson's employees around the world, all of whom have contributed to the company's successes over the past six decades. The piece is made from water-jetted anodized .75-inch aluminum, weighs 2,400 pounds, and is now the focal point of the company's headquarters. A sister sculpture was also installed in the company's lobby.
“It’s appropriate that this sculpture is a globe, as it is the unique talents and contributions of Nordson people around the world that have enabled us to grow beyond our humble beginnings in Amherst, Ohio into a global leader in precision dispensing and fluid management,” said Michael Hilton, Nordson president and CEO, in a statement. “The sculpture helps us reflect on this success, but more importantly reminds us that the culture and values established by our founders have enabled our global employees to develop themselves and continue to be the vital essence that propels Nordson forward.”

Richard Nord, the son of co-founder Eric Nord, worked with Nordson employees and vendors to make the sculpture reality.
“The process of producing the sculpture itself became a microcosm of what the sculpture is meant to recognize. Nordson’s people are what makes the company different. That’s a big part of what this sculpture represents, and it was special to experience that firsthand as we worked together on this project,” said Nord in a statement.
