WESTLAKE, OH — An open Budweiser and suspected Oxycontin residue were found in a car stopped by Westlake police last week. A passenger in the car told officers she had snorting crushed up pills, according to a Westlake police spokesperson.
Officers stopped a car near the Crocker-Clemens roads intersection at 11:15 a.m. on Feb. 12. The driver was a 27-year-old Elyria man who did not have a valid license, police said. Police said when they spoke with the man, they saw an open beer can in the center console of the car.
Police said they then investigated the rest of the car and found rolled up paper with a white powder residue and empty plastic bags with the same residue. A passenger in the backseat, a 25-year-old woman from Lorain, told police she had been crushing Oxycontin and then snorting it, according to Westlake police.
