Owl Tangled In Westlake School's Nets Saved By Police
The bird was caught in soccer nets at Lee Burneson Middle School and had to be set free.

WESTLAKE, OH — It wasn't a classic "WHO" done it, but an owl tangled in a soccer net at a Westlake school still required the full power and resources of the police department. Officers were called to rescue the animal when the bird was discovered.
The owl got caught up in the nets at Lee Burneson Middle School, on Dover Center, police said. When officers arrived, they found the bird, as reported, ensnared in the nets.
Police were able to untangle the owl and get it free of the netting. A spokesperson said the owl had suffered minor injuries during its tie-up. The bird was then turned over to the Lake Erie Nature Center for treatment.
