Perfect ACT Score Achieved By Westlake Student
Isabella DiGiulio, a junior at Westlake High School, recently earned a 36 on her test. She's still mulling her college options.

WESTLAKE, OH — A Westlake High School student has earned a rare and prestigious distinction. Junior Isabella DiGiulio scored a perfect 36 on the ACT exam. The ACT is commonly used as a standardized test by college admission officials.
For comparison, the ACT company said that in three of the four tested subjects, less than half of the class of 2017 were able to meet college readiness benchmarks. The average score in 2017 for Ohio ACT takers was 22.
To prepare for the exam, DiGiulio said she reviewed some practice questions from the ACT website. She then knocked out a perfect score. As a junior, DiGiulio still has plenty of time to settle on a college. So far she has been impressed by Duke University and the University of Notre Dame.
She said she plans to pursue a career in the science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) fields. To help her settle on a career choice, DiGiulio plans on shadowing individuals performing jobs she may be interested in.
