Police Dispel Rumors Of Threat To Westlake School
Parents have flooded police lines with concerns over a supposed threat to Lee Burneson. Police are assuring parents the school is safe.

WESTLAKE, OH — Rumors of a threat toward Lee Burneson Middle School terrified the community this week. Westlake Police assured residents there is no imminent danger and the school is safe. The rumors are just rumors.
"The police department has been receiving numerous calls about an incident involving a child attending Lee Burneson Middle School. To clarify, there is no ongoing threat and no "hit list" has been located or alleged," the police department said on social media.
The rumors stemmed from a late November incident, police believe. At that time, both Westlake Schools and police were made aware of a student's ominous social media post, a photograph of bullet shell casings.
