Possible Overdose Death In Westlake, Police Investigating

WESTLAKE, OH — A 42-year-old Westlake man was found dead at a home on Beechwood Drive over the weekend, police said.

At 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, police and fire teams were called to a Beechwood home for a reported drug overdose. The caller said they found their partner in the home and they appeared to be dead.

When emergency services arrived, they confirmed the 42-year-old was dead. Drug related evidence was collected from the home.

Westlake police is working with the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office on the investigation. The examiner will make a final determination on what caused the man's death, police said.
