Prostitution Investigation At Westlake Motel: Police
Police said they took two people into custody after investigating reports of solicitation at a Westlake motel.

WESTLAKE, OH — Two people were taken into custody after reports of prostitution at the Super 8 Motel were given to police.
At 7 a.m. on May 6, police were told about a possible prostitution complaint at the motel on Sperry Drive. When officers arrived, they learned that a woman in one of the rooms had been soliciting sexual services online.
Police interviewed a 43-year-old man in the parking lot of the motel. Investigators then spoke to a 46-year-old woman in one of the motel rooms.

According to police, when they searched the motel room they found crack cocaine. The woman, who told police she was homeless, was taken into custody on suspicion of soliciting for prostitution and possession of drugs.
The man, who also told police he was homeless, was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of drugs.

Police records show this is the fourth prostitution-connected arrest officers have made this month. The other incidents happened on May 1 and May 2 at the Red Roof Inn and at the same Super 8 Motel.
