Prostitution Sting In Westlake: 2 Taken Into Custody

Police placed a digital ad online marketing escort services and then took two people into custody.

WESTLAKE, OH — Police led a prostitution sting at Westlake hotels this week. Two people were taken into custody during the operation.

On October 25, at 7:30 p.m., police set up a digital advertisement marketing escort services in the Westlake area. A 30-year-old Parma resident set up a meeting with one of the escorts. When they arrived at Sonesta Suites they were taken into custody and charged with possession of heroin, which police found when they searched her person.

Charges for solicitation of prostitution will be presented to a grand jury for consideration, police said.

On October 29, an Avon man was found to be advertising in the same space as the police-created ad. Investigators traced the man to the Red Roof Inn, where the man was taken into custody on suspicion of solicitation.
