Prowler Spotted By Westlake Resident, Arrested

The prowler was reportedly trying to get into cars on Bradley Road at 4 a.m.

WESTLAKE, OH — The watchful eye of a Westlake resident helped catch a possible prowler trying to get into parked cars on Thursday.

At 3:49 a.m., a resident called police and said a man, dressed completely in black, was pulling on car doors on Bradley Road. Officers rushed to the scene, but the man took off running before he could be confronted.

Luckily, police found the man walking nearby after a short search. While talking with officers, the man kept changing his story. First, he said he was walking from North Ridgeville to his home at a local motel. Then he said he was leaving a wedding. He couldn't tell police why he was walking around at nearly 4 a.m.
