Road Rage Incident Gets Driver Arrested In Westlake

Police said a 36-year-old threw something at another car on I-90, leading to his eventual arrest.

WESTLAKE, OH — After a man reportedly threw something at another car on I-90, callers reported the road rage incident to police. Officers found the suspect car and arrested the driver.

At 10 p.m. on Feb. 11, callers reported that there was a possible road rage incident happening on I-90. The caller said the driver of another vehicle had thrown something at his car and tried to cut him off.

The suspect vehicle was stopped on I-90, near the Crocker Road exit. The driver lied to officers about his identity, according to police. However, the driver was familiar to investigators, so his identity was quickly discovered.

The driver, a 36-year-old from Westlake, had a warrant for his arrest from North Olmsted Police and had a suspended driver's license. Officers searched his car and found suspected marijuana and a scale, according to police reports.

The driver was arrested and was charged with misidentification, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver of the other car said he would check his vehicle for damage, so additional charges against the Westlake man may be pending.
