School Is Back In Session In Westlake: Driving Rules To Remember
With Westlake Schools back in full swing, residents and commuters in the city are reminded of seasonal driving rules.

WESTLAKE, OH — With Westlake Schools back in session, the city and the police department are asking residents to obey the driving restrictions that come along with active school zones. The police are also asking residents to make sure children that bike to school wear helmets.
Among the other rules drivers are being remind of are "right on red" prohibitions during school hours. Drivers are also asked to stop for school buses as they pick-up or drop-off students. - Follow posted speed limit signs in flashing school zones. Be extra cautious when driving through designated school zones.
- Children should learn to obey crossing guards and bus drivers. Bicycles taken to schools should be locked up on bike racks near the schools.
- Parents should talk to kids about pedestrian traffic laws and rules.
