Sewing Machine Thief Hits Westlake Business

The man stole two sewing machines from the Pat Catan's on Columbia Road.

WESTLAKE, OH - Westlake Police are looking for a man that may have stolen two Brother-brand sewing machines from Pat Catan's, 1499 Columbia Rd. The machines are valued at a combined $900.

Police say the suspect was captured on surveillance footage and are releasing his image to the public. You can see the suspect in the photos above and below.

The suspect is a white male, with a thin build, in his late 20s or early 30s. Police say the man has a thin build, short red hair, and a scruffy beard. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt that had a "Monster" energy drink logo on the front. He was also wearing jeans.

Police say the suspect took the sewing machines out the back door and set off an alarm doing so. He put the machines into an older black Dodge Neon 2 door driven by another man.
