Shoplifter Hits Crocker Park Gap, Steals $700 Of Merchandise

Police are asking the public for help identifying the suspect. Video of the incident was released by investigators.

WESTLAKE, OH — Police are asking the public for help identifying a man that stole more than $700 of merchandise from the Gap store at Crocker Park this week.

The shoplifter struck at 8:20 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, police said. The man stole jeans and other clothes from the front of the store. Investigators do not know which way the man went after leaving the store, or if he got into a car.

The man was described as "tall" and was wearing a black jacket, with black/grey jeans, a red hat, and he used a large reusable shopping bag to stow the stolen merchandise. Surveillance video of the theft is above this article.
