Shotgun, Crack Cocaine Found On Westlake Man

Police said they stopped the man's car on Crocker Road and then searched his apartment, where they found the contraband.

WESTLAKE, OH — Crack cocaine and a 12-gauge shotgun were found in a Westlake man's possession this week. Hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia were also later found in the vehicle, police said.

The traffic stop happened at about 8:30 a.m.Police said the stopped the car for a traffic violation, but the driver did not have a driver's license and had an active felony warrant with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department.

Officers searched the car and found crack pipes inside the car. The driver, a 33-year-old from Westlake, was arrested. Police then searched the man's apartment and found more crack drug paraphernalia, hypodermic needles, a 12 gauge shotgun and crack cocaine.

Police also arrested a woman they found int he man's apartment. She has been charged with possession of crack cocaine.

The Westlake man has been charged with having weapons under disability.
