WESTLAKE, OH — A shotgun and .40 caliber handgun were found in the car of a man stopped by Westlake Police.

At 10:30 a.m. on March 9, police saw a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel. Officers ran the license plates for the car and found that the BMV had issued a confiscation of the plates. The owner of the car also had a suspended license and a warrant, with cautions, out of Puerto Rico.

The driver, a 42-year-old Cleveland man, told police he did not know his license was suspended. He also said he had two firearms in the car.
