Suspected Heroin, Meth Found During Westlake Traffic Stop

Police said they stopped a car outside a motel and found suspected narcotics.

WESTLAKE, OH — Suspect heroin and methamphetamine was found during a traffic stop in Westlake this month.

Police stopped a car outside the Red Roof Inn on July 16. The registered owner of the car and a warrant for larceny, a Westlake police spokesperson said.

There were three people inside the car. Police said all three people appeared nervous and there were signs of drug activity

Officers found needles and suspected methamphetamine and heroin inside the car. The evidence was collected and sent to a laboratory for analysis.

Police said charges against the three people inside the car will be determined after the lab results are back.
