Suspected MDMA, Weed Found In Car In Westlake: Police
Officers stopped a car for a license plate violation and found suspected narcotics inside the vehicle.
WESTLAKE, OH — Police found suspected weed, MDMA pills and scales in a car they stopped outside of a motel in Westlake. Officers said the driver and passenger in the car both face felony charges.
At 11 a.m. on May 4, police stopped a car as it left the Red Roof Inn. The car had a problem with its license plate, according to a Westlake police spokesperson.
When officers approached the car, they saw two people inside and evidence of drug use and weapons. Police searched the vehicle and found a loaded, semi-automatic handgun along with suspected marijuana, MDMA pills and measuring scales.

Neither the driver or passenger had a concealed carry license, police said.
The driver, a 21-year-old from Cleveland, faces felony weapons charges, police said. The passenger, a 24-year-old from Cleveland, faces drug trafficking charges, pending laboratory results.

Felony charges for both suspects will be presented to a Cuyahoga County Grand Jury, police said.
