Suspected Meth Found During Westlake Traffic Stop: Police
Officers said they found suspected meth and drug paraphernalia in a car they stopped for having an expired license plate.
WESTLAKE, OH - Suspected meth was found in a car stopped by police on Thursday evening. The driver was taken into custody by police after "begging" for a break from officers.
At about 7:40 p.m. on May 23, police stopped a car near the Double Tree Hotel on Crocker Road because it had an expired license plate. The driver pulled over, jumped out of his car, and began asking police for a break.
Officers found drug paraphernalia in the man's possession. He also had three warrants for his arrest and a suspended driver's license.

During a more thorough search of the man's car, police found suspected methamphetamine.
The 31-year-old Elyria man was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of meth, traffic charges and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia.
