Suspected Meth Found During Westlake Traffic Stop, Police Say
Suspected meth, burnt pipes and other drug paraphernalia were found in a car, police said.
WESTLAKE, OH — Suspected methamphetamine was found during a traffic stop in Westlake last week.
At 2 p.m. on Aug. 15, officers stopped a car leaving Red Roof Inn. A K9 unit was brought to the scene and the dog indicated there were narcotics in the vehicle, a police spokesperson said.
Officers searched the car and found suspected meth, syringes, straws and burnt pipes inside the car.

The driver, a 45-year-old Elyria man, told police the narcotics were left in his car by a friend.
The 45-year-old has been charged with misdemeanor drug offenses, police said.
