Suspected Meth, Heroin Found In Westlake Hotel Room

WESTLAKE, OH — Police found suspected methamphetamine, heroin, pills and drug paraphernalia in a hotel room in Westlake this week. One of the persons in the room had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, police learned a man staying at the Red Roof Inn on Clemens Road had an active warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers went to the hotel and took the man into custody without incident.

However, while they were taking the man into custody, they saw a woman in the room who appeared to be sick. There was evidence of drug use in the room, police said.

The woman was loaded into an ambulance and taken to a hospital for treatment. Officers searched the room and found suspected meth, heroin, pills and drug paraphernalia, police said.

The man is currently charged with felony possession of drugs. The woman who was taken to the hospital is now wanted for possession of heroin, police said. The woman's last known address was in North Olmsted.
