Teenagers Throw Urine At Westlake Woman

Police say a bottle of suspected urine was thrown at an 18-year-old as she walked down Sherwood Drive.

WESTLAKE, OH β€” Police are looking for a trio of suspected teenagers that threw a bottle of urine at an 18-year-old Westlake woman. A description of the suspects and their vehicle is available at the bottom of this article. Other incidents from last week are described below.

Domestic Violence, July 3 - Police say a 53-year-old Lakewood woman pushed her 85-year-old Westlake-residing mother down. The 53-year-old old also pushed her 17-year-old son down as well. On July 4, a Michigan police department reported a similar incident involving the same suspect. The Westlake City Prosecutor will rule on the local incident.

DCI, July 4 - Perhaps celebrating Independence Day a bit too hard, a 24-year-old Cleveland man was found hiding in the bushes of a Hilliard Boulevard home. The man had stolen a bicycle and then gotten into the shrubbery. The man was arrested and the bicycle held until someone could prove ownership. The bicycle has not been reported stolen.

Theft, July 3 - A prowler, or prowlers, rummaged through a bevy of vehicles in Westlake. The thefts started on Augusta Court, where a GPS device and sunglasses were plucked from an unlocked car. Those items were found nearby on Georgia Drive, where four cars were rifled through. Nothing was taken from those vehicles. Finally, two unlocked cars on Macon Court had power tools and small change taken from them.

Improper Handling of a Firearm, July 4 - Police stopped a 35-year-old Cleveland man for traffic violations. The man had been drinking but was not under the influence, police say. He did have a loaded .357 caliber revolver and knife in the car. He was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a firearm.

OVI, July 4 - A 28-year-old Moreland Hills woman was part of a nasty single car accident on July 5. The woman lost control of her 2009 Nissan 37oZ, sending it hurtling off the right side of Hilliard Boulevard. The vehicle struck a rock, then hit a fence, sign, and another rock at the entrance to the Hilliard Lakes golf course. The woman was taken to St. John Medical Center by Westlake Fire. She suffered non-incapacitating injuries. Officers found prescription medication in the car and believe the pills may have played a part in the crash.

Motor Vehicle Theft, July 4 - A 2010 Kia Fore was stolen from a Cedarwood Drive home.

Fraud, July 6 - A Westlake woman was hoodwinked out of $2,300 via a phone scam. The caller claimed her grandson was in a Pennsylvania jail after driving intoxicated and needed bail money. The woman wired cash to the caller, then immediately began to regret the decision. She soon discovered her grandson was not incarcerated.

Fraud, July 6 - A Hawthorne Lane man's identity was used by someone filling out a credit card application. The man contacted the bank the application was sent to, and Westlake Police about the fraud.

Assault, July 6 - In a disgusting act, three teenage boys threw a bottle of liquid (which is suspected to be urine) at an 18-year-old Westlake woman. The woman was walking along Sherwood Drive when the Jeep the boys were driving in passed her. The bottle did not come open, but did hit her in the right shoulder. No medical attention was required. The Jeep has a canvas top which was down at the time; the urine hurler is a white male approximately 18-years-old with blond hair and no class.
