Teens Shoplifted From 6 Crocker Park Stores, Police Say

Police said they stopped a group of teenage girls and found merchandise from six stores in their possession.

WESTLAKE, OH — A group of teenagers were stopped near Crocker Park after they were accused of shoplifting from several stores, police said.

At about 5:30 p.m. on July 2, police began receiving calls about possible shoplifters hitting stores in Crocker Park. Multiple stores said teenage girls were seen taking merchandise without paying.

Police located the teenagers' vehicle as it was pulling out of Crocker Park. Officers found merchandise from six different stores inside their car. The merchandise was collected and returned to the Crocker Park stores.

There were four teenagers in the car, all 16-years-old and all from Lakewood. All of the teenagers were turned over to their parents, police said.

The teenagers will be charged throughout juvenile court with receiving stolen property, police said.
