Thief Hit Crocker Park Apple Store Twice In September

Police are asking the public for help identifying a man that stole more than 20 devices from the Apple Store.

WESTLAKE, OH — Police are looking for a man that stole 24 Apple Pencils from the Apple Store at Crocker Park this month. Surveillance images of the man have been released to the public.

On September 13, a young white man walked into the Apple Store. He browsed around and then quietly pocketed 13 Apple Pencils, a device designed for use with iPads and other Apple devices.

Two days later, on September 15, the man returned to the store and stole 11 more Apple Pencils. The total value of the stolen items is over $2,000, police said.

During both thefts, the man wore a black T-shirt and long pants. He was captured on the store's surveillance cameras and police have released still images of the man, hoping someone can identify him.

Anyone with information on the thefts should contact Westlake police's non-emergency line at 440-871-3311. Tipsters can remain anonymous, police said.
