Thief Steals Westlake Shopper's Wallet: Police

Police said the suspect tried to use the shopper's credit cards at a Target in Avon.

WESTLAKE, OH — Police are looking for a man who stole a woman's wallet while she was shopping at Crocker Park. The woman's credit cards were later used at a Target, according to investigators.

The theft happened Feb. 17 at Trader Joe's. The woman was shopping at the grocery store, at 6 p.m., when she noticed her wallet was not in her purse. She then received a text from her bank telling her someone had tried to use her credit card at the Apple Store and at a Target in Avon, according to a Westlake police spokesperson.

The suspect is a white man with a medium build and short, dark hair, police said. He was spotted on Target surveillance cameras with a short white woman and a young white man with short, dark hair, a spokesperson for the department said.
