Thousands Of Dollars Of Merchandise Stolen From Westlake Store

Police are looking for two men that stole several purses from the Michael Kors store in Crocker Park on Thursday night.

WESTLAKE, OH — Thousands of dollars worth of purses were stolen from the Michael Kors store at Crocker Park on Thursday night, police said. One of the suspects struggled with an employee who tried to stop the theft.

The theft happened a little before 7:30 p.m. That's when employees called police and said there had been a theft at the Michael Kors store.

The employees told police that two men had come into the store and shopped around for a few minutes. One of the men then collected several purses and tried to leave the store without paying.

An employee managed to grab one of the purses' straps as the man was walking outside. The two struggled over the merchandise, but the suspect broke free and took off running.

The stolen purses were collectively worth thousands of dollars, police said.

One of the suspects was a young black man, who was described as tall and thin. He was wearing a blue hoodie with ripped up blue jeans. The other suspect was an older black man wearing black clothes and a winter hat.

The suspects were seen getting into a Toyota sedan, with tinted windows, which had been parked on Market Street. The car had one burnt out driver's side tail light.
