Threats Fly At McDonald's In Westlake...Or Did They?
Police had to investigate reports that someone was threatening to shoot another driver in a drive-thru line. Things weren't as they appeared

WESTLAKE, OH — Threats reportedly flew in the drive-thru line of a Westlake McDonald's last week. Police were called to investigate and unraveled an apparent brouhaha that developed a little before midnight at the fast food restaurant.
A caller reported that someone threatened him while waiting in the drive-thru line at the Detroit Road McDonald's on July 30. He said that a man in one of the other cars said he would shoot him if he cut him off.
Officers went to the restaurant and found the man accused of threatening someone. He was waiting patiently for his food, police said. The caller, though, had left the parking lot before police arrived.

The staff at McDonald's, and the suspect, both said they hadn't seen any brewing fights and that no threatening comments were made or heard, police reported. Other customers in the line approached police and said the caller had actually been the problem.
The caller had reportedly caused some kind of disturbance in the drive-thru line and then taken off after he called police. Westlake officers went looking for the caller and found him in a nearby parking lot.
