Two Banks Ripped Off By One Man In Westlake

A pair of Key Bank branches allowed fraudulent transactions to go through, thanks to the guile of an unidentified suspect.

WESTLAKE, OH — An unidentified man managed to rip off two separate Key Bank branches in Westlake in late May. Now police are asking the public for help identifying the suspect.

The man used fraudulent documents to make money transfers from other peoples accounts. Police said the man's actions led to a "large dollar amount loss."

The suspect is an "older" white man. He wore a red button down shirt with black pants, a dark colored fedora hat, and eyeglasses when he was in Westlake. It is not clear if he is still in the region.
