Vomit-Covered Woman Arrested On I-90
The woman had parked her SUV on the side of the highway. She told police she was just charging her phone.
WESTLAKE, OH — A vomit-covered woman was arrested on I-90 West by police after she stopped her vehicle on the side of the highway. The woman claimed she had stopped because she needed to "charge" her phone.
Police said they made the arrest Feb. 22. Callers reported that a person was seen hanging out of a vehicle parked on I-90, near Columbia Road. Officers found the SUV was occupied by a woman who said she had stopped because she needed to charge her phone.
The woman, a 43-year-old from Elyria, had vomited on herself and on the ground outside the driver's side door. Police said she reeked of alcohol.

Police arrested the woman for operating a vehicle impaired after running her through some field sobriety tests. She later refused to take a breath test.

Police also searched the woman's car and found a baggie of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The woman will face drug possession charges, according to Westlake Police.
