Wax On, Wax Off For Summer
VANITYLAB recently launched WAXLAB to solve Cleveland's hairy situations just in time for summer.

Westlake's spa and salon opened their new WAXLAB on June 13 with a wide variety of waxes and services to solve just about everyone's hairy situations.
“We are ready to wax Cleveland!" said owner Angie Hofelich. “We have seven different types of wax, to take care of all skin types and situations. From Marine Hard Wax for Men to Pistachio Wax for sensitive skin, all bases are covered.”
The type of wax and how often waxing should be performed depend on the area of the body being waxed and each individual client, she said.

“Red Wine Hard Wax is best for Brazilian and bikini waxes,” Hofelich said. “Brow waxing usually needs to be done about every three weeks, while lips can be monthly. Leg waxes typically last a few weeks, but of course it depends how fast your body grows hair back. Some people regenerate hair faster than others.”
VANITYLAB offers an additional service along with the brow wax at no extra cost. The experts teach Brows 101, so clients can keep the look up and have the best possible results.

“Waxing is really only half of the brow care process," Hofelich said. "You still have to fill in bare spots with brow powder and know the proper way to create the arch, or the brows will still not look right. So many people don’t realize that when others see them from a few feet away, they will notice if the brows appear strange.”
Hofelich and her staff use roll-on applicators, which resemble cartridges, instead of sticks for large areas. On the areas that do require sticks, rest assured that this salon does not re-dip the same sticks in the wax -- keeping everyone and everything sanitary is important to them.
“Some spas won’t even attempt Brazilian waxes, but everyone here is extremely well-trained and knows how to do them the right way. We also offer gels to apply before coming in for your wax, which will numb the area ahead of time and make for a more pleasant experience.” For post-waxing, VANITYLAB also has creams and serums to take care of any small bumps that may appear.
And as for laser hair removal systems? Hofelich said they aren't worth the price tag.
“The laser process costs around $3,000, and it does not remove the hair permanently. You still have to go back every so often to have it done again, so why not have an expert wax instead? You’ll save money and still have the results you want.”
VANITYLAB/WAXLAB also holds brow classes for groups, either in the salon or at other locations. For more information, visit their website or call 440-835-4490.
