Westlake Borders to Stay Open Through September

Borders Group Inc. announced Monday that it will be closing up shop on its remaining 400 stores before selling itself to a liquidation group, according to reports from Reuters.

The Borders location at the Promenade in Westlake will probably be open through September. A store employee said plans are tentative, but the store is "starting to liquidate" on Friday and continue through September.

The Westlake location, along with others in Beachwood, Solon, Strongsville and Tower City were spared.
