What started as an incident in the parking lot of Hyland Software, ended in a multi-car crash on Detroit Road, police said.

WESTLAKE, OH — Police have announced two arrests stemming from Tuesday's car chase and crash on Detroit Road. The suspects are brothers and are both charged with aggravated robbery, fleeing police, and receiving stolen property.
The suspects are Joseph and Christopher Horvath, both from Cleveland, police announced on Wednesday. The duo were allegedly driving a stolen car and police believe the Horvaths were trying to steal license plates off vehicles in Hyland Software's Clemens Road parking lot.
On Tuesday at about 1 p.m., callers began reporting a possible fight in the parking lot of Hyland. While officers were on their way, they learned two men were possibly trying to steal license plates off cars in the software company's parking lot.

Employees at Hyland had come out and interrupted the suspects while they tried to remove license plates from vehicles, police said. The workers were able to help detain one of the suspects, while the other jumped into a black Honda and sped away from the scene, nearly hitting several onlookers.
Westlake Police gave chase, pursuing the Honda into Bay Village and then back into Westlake. The chase lasted approximately five minutes, police said, before the suspect crashed into several cars on Detroit Road, near Cahoon Road.
