WESTLAKE, OH — Westlake voters decided on president of council, law director and an important municipal issue on Nov. 7. Issue 54, which could have changed how the city's law director is selected, was rejected by residents. In a weird twist of fate, as residents rejected Issue 54, they also selected a law director to lead the city's legal department.
Michael F. Killeen was selected as president of Westlake City Council on Tuesday. He edged his competitor Joe Kraft, according to the Cuyahoga County Board of Election's unofficial results.
