WESTLAKE, OH — The Westlake Food Pantry has seen a 400-percent uptick in demand since the new coronavirus outbreak began, the city said on Facebook. Donations of non-perishable food items are now urgently needed.

"It cannot be stressed enough how important every donation of perishable and non-perishable food items is to helping those in need," the city said in a statement on social media.

Donations of canned fruits and vegetables are particularly needed by the Westlake Senior and Community Services department. Canned produce is always in high demand, the city said.
