Westlake Grad Doesn't Reel In the Big One on 'Shark Tank'

Entrepreneur Aaron LeMieux had a brilliant idea but βthe Sharksβ werenβt biting.
The Westlake High School grad had the chance of a lifetime to present his product, βnPower PEGβ in an episode of Shark Tank that aired April 26.
LeMieuxΒ wanted $2 million for a 22 percent stake in the company.

nPower PEG is a device that harnesses the energy from the human walking motion to power devices such as iPads and cell phones.
β(Itβs) The worldβs first human powered charger for electronic devices,β LeMieux said of the patented item on the show.

Shark Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, asked how many units were sold and how the product would change the world.
Β βWeβve sold 1,300 up until this point,β LeMieux answered.
β(Itβs) The worldβs first human powered charger for electronic devices,β LeMieux said on the show.
LeMieux said the product could generate energy from waves.
LoriΒ Greiner called the idea βbrilliantβ but said it wasnβt the type of product she sold.
Perennial bad guy Kevin OβLeary almost took the bait.
βI think itβs very interesting technology,β O'Leary said, adding it would be a better solution than coal. βI canβt play because it will cost me $2 million to work for you.β
βSomethingβs got to change,βΒ Shark RobertΒ Herjavec said. βThis could be part of the answerβ¦but Iβm not making the connection. Iβm out.β
Despite, after LeMieux was leaving the stage, the Sharks remained complimentary.
βI think heβs got something there,β OβLeary said.
