Westlake Man Pushes Girlfriend Out Of Car On I-90
The couple were arguing when the man pulled over on I-90 and shoved his girlfriend out of the car before driving off.

WESTLAKE, OH - Arguments in car occasionally spiral out of control. That happened last week when a Westlake man shoved his girlfriend out of the car on I-90 and left her on the highway. You can read more about that incident and others below.
Fraud, April 25 - After taking up with a 40-year-old Columbus woman in August 2016, a Hilliard Boulevard man noticed unauthorized credit card purchases being made with his account. Someone withdrew $2,000 in cash and made $9,500 in purchases with the man's account. Someone then filed a phony 2016 IRS return using the man's identity. Lastly, he suspects the woman he was it may have stolen his $2,000 set of golf clubs. The man's banks have credited his account for the purchases, but not the cash withdrawals.
Theft, April 22 - Jewelry was stolen out of a Westlake woman's purse while she shopped. The jewelry is worth approximately $410. The woman left her purse unattended in a shopping cart at a Detroit Road store.

Shoplifting, April 21 - A Detroit Road store believes a man may have pulled off a shoplifting and refund scam. The man sought a refund for merchandise he purchased at another branch of the store. To get the refund, the man had to fill out extensive documentation. Loss prevention officers for the store identified the items the man wanted to return as stolen from the other store. When the loss prevention staffer called him on this, the suspect admitted the theft. The City Prosecutor will review the case.
Petty Theft, April 25 - Staff at a Detroit Road store stopped a 17-year-old North Ridgeville girl when she tried to steal $111 worth of merchandise. She will be filed on for Petty Theft in Juvenile Court.

Petty Theft, April 26 - Police arrested a 33-year-old Cleveland man for Petty Theft after he took property worth $200 from a Crocker Park Boulevard store. The property was discarded before officers caught him and has not yet been located.
Counterfeit Bill, April 26 - A counterfeit $100 bill was seized by an employee of a Crocker Park Boulevard store. The man who tried to use it, paid for his purchases with $80 in real cash and left. The phony cash is labeled "For Motion Picture Use Only".
Domestic Violence, April 28 - An argument between a couple driving on I-90 ended unpleasantly. A 25-year-old woman was livid with her 26-year-old Westlake boyfriend. The boyfriend pulled the couple's car over, pushed the woman out, and then left her on the side of the raod. The woman was uninjured and would not give officers' her boyfriend's address. She was subsequently turned over to Lakewood Police on an unrelated warrant.
