Westlake Man Saved By Firefighters, St. John's Medical Center
When Brian Moran had a heart attack, firefighters didn't realize he was the father of one of their colleagues.

WESTLAKE, OH — Westlake Firefighters helped save the life of Brian Moran last month.
Moran, a Westlake resident, was working in his yard when he started to feel pain radiating from his chest. Brian's wife, Jean, saw her husband and knew something was wrong. She called 911 and Westlake's first responders rushed to the Moran household.
When the firefighters arrived, they quickly realized that Moran was having a heart attack. They also learned that Moran was the father of a fellow firefighter — Lieutenant Matt Moran. The emergency was suddenly heavy with personal connection.
