Westlake Resident Named Vice President at Tri-C

Westlake resident Michael Abouserhal will take office as vice president of finance and business services at in January. Abouserhal will succeed Mark Polatajko, who left for a position as vice president of business and fiscal affairs at Wright State University in Dayton.

Abouserhal began at Tri-C in 2008 and currently serves as executive director of accounting and financial operations. In his three years at the college, Abouserhal spearheaded many projects including a revamp of the reconciliation process and improving the school’s budgeting and forecasting process. He also worked on the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority universal pass project to provide discounted bus passes to students.

Before joining Tri-C, Abouserhal worked as the assistant commissioner of finance for Cleveland Public Power.
