Westlake Schools Strategic Committee to Present Plans
The district's Strategic Planning Committee preps to present their plans to the school board.

Westlake City Schools’ Strategic Planning Committee is preparing to present their goals for the district and further initiatives to the school board at their April 11 meeting, Cleveland.com reported.
The committee was put together by the district to represent the public, and is made up of more than 50 Westlake residents representing a number of areas. Committee members include leaders from local businesses, clergy, higher education and from neighborhoods. They then took part in a six-part series of planning sessions to plan ideas and strategies for the district going forward, as reported by the website.
Past committee meetings included presentations on the current state of district affairs and exercises in identifying growing needs and trends. The main goal of the meetings was to create an outline of ways the district can prepare students best for life after graduation. After submitting the outline, the district will expand on their ideas according to Cleveland.com.
