Westlake Student Gets Perfect ACT Score

Westlake High School Junior Patrick Lee scored a 36 on the exam.

WESTLAKE, OH - Westlake High School student Patrick Lee, a Junior, has joined an elite group of American students. Lee scored a perfect 36 on his ACT exam.

According to the ACT website, the average score on the exam was 20.8 in 2016, and the composite average score has hovered around 21 for five years. According to the college exam website Prep Scholar, only .108 percentof ACT test takers score a 36.

What was the key to Lee's success? He said he made use of the Princeton Review book and took practice tests in advance of the exam.

Lee has not decided which college he would like to attend, but he says he would like to study engineering and science.

Lee is also more than a perfect test score and an exemplary student. He's also a cross country team member, a swimmer, a member of the bank, and a member of the Science Olympiad and the Academic Challenge and Leadership Challenge teams. He has also earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
