How does she get such good grades in high school while managing her extracurriculars?
"I make sure I pay attention in class and stay involved," she said. "I also finish all my homework on time and study ahead for tests."
Caja said she will be heading to The Ohio State University in the fall to study biochemistry.
"My favorite subject is science," she said. "There are so many different types of science and I enjoy learning about them all."
Caja said that she manages her time by making sure all of her work is done before she makes time for her friends or hobbies, which include swimming and playing basketball.
"If a classmate of mine were struggling in school, I would tell them to participate in class and always ask questions," she said. "Writing in a planner can help to balance school work and sports."
Madison said she has always kept a planner to help her manage her time, which has aided her in her success.
Keys to Awesomeness
"One of my best talents is making people laugh," said Caja, who enjoys listening to country superstar Taylor Swift as she studies and researches.
Caja said she is currently working on staying healthy outside of basketball season by getting out and exercising on her own.
"I try to eat healthier by not eating at fast food restaurants," she added.
When people need help, Caja said that she doesn't hesitate to jump into their aid.
"When people are confused on their homework or if people need help studying, I will offer my time to help them," she said.
A lover of pasta, Caja said that her favorite restaurant is The Olive Garden. She also finds herself craving her mom's homemade chicken noodle soup quite often. You will usually find her washing both down with a glass of ice cold Sprite.
The Million Dollar Questions
If she were give one million dollars to give away to a charity or cause of her choice, Caja said she would donate hers to Alzheimer's research.
"I'd donate it to the National Alzeheimer's Associated because I feel that this disorder has a cure and it needs to be found so that lives can be saved," she said.
