WHS Design Squad Wins Engineering Contest
Students explored engineering at CSU as part of National Engineers Week.

As part of celebrating National Engineers Week, the students of the Engineering & Technology Education Department participated in the Cleveland State University (CSU) College of Engineering Day recently.
Students started off the day with an engineering design contest, conducted by Diane Burrowbridge, Education Coordinator of the University Transportation Center and Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Cleveland State University.
Teams of three or four students brainstormed, designed and constructed a Design Squad project called the “Paper Table”. They had to build a structure out of newspapers and a limited amount of masking tape. It had to be at least 6 feet high and hold as many books as possible.
