Westlake Latin Teams Take Trivia Contest Awards
Students showed knowledge of Roman history, culture, mythology and more.

The Latin Certamen teams took a step back in time and returned victorious at the fourth annual Certamen competition in Shaker Heights.
Certamen is a trivia game similar to Academic Challenge with questions about Latin, grammar, classical literature and Roman mythology, culture and history.
The lower team of WHS students Kyle Lathem, Anthony Li and Vishal Shah took first place for the first time at the school. Seventh-grader Alex Lathem was the overall winner of the novice team. The upper level team of WHS's Sam Buck, Tom Carroll, and Chris Dunlap finished second overall.
