Winners Announced In Food Truck Challenge At Crocker Park

Hatfield's Goode Grub appears to have cleaned up, but plenty of other trucks took home awards.

WESTLAKE, OH — The 4th Annual Food Truck Challenge was held at Crocker Park on Saturday. Celebrity judges and a mass of hungry diners voted in a variety of categories to determine the best trucks.

Awards were handed out in two main groups: fan voting and judges choice. Guest judges for the contest included a panel of Cleveland notables, WKYC's Austin Love, Fox 8's Todd Meany, Channel 19's Nichole Vrsansky & Chris Tanaka, Cleveland Magazine's Kim Schneider, Glenn Anderson and Matt Hribar from Star 102, CLE Seats creator Lauren Kluth, Edible Cleveland's Lisa Sands, and Stark Enterprises' own Tina Roberts.

Here were the winners, and the categories they claimed, according to the judges:

  • Best overall, judge's choice — Hatfield's Goode Grub
  • Best on a bun — Betty's Bomb Burgers
  • Best on a plate — Smooth Rider Smoothies
  • Best in a wrap — Smash Time
  • Best thru a straw — Donut Lab
  • Happiest ending — Sweet Mobile Cupcakery

  • Best overall/Fan favorite — Hatfield's Goode Grub
  • Best/friendliest staff — Wild Spork
  • Best looking truck — Fire Truck Pizza
