Woman Followed, Harassed In Westlake Store

The woman was trailed by a 26-year-old man who made kissing noises and vulgar gestures at her while she shopped.

WESTLAKE, OH - A Public Indecency charge could be coming for a Cleveland man that harassed a woman throughout a Westlake store last week. Read on for more information.

Theft, March 19 - A Cleveland woman had her purse stolen while she was visiting a First Street business. The woman set it down and didn't realize it was missing until later. When she went back for the purse, it was gone. The purse was located later, but the woman's wallet and an $800 phone were missing.

Theft, March 17 - Police say a resident's phone was stolen out of his coat while he visited a Detroit Road saloon. The suspect is a man who spent some time chatting up the resident. The theft was reported on March 20.

Petty Theft, March 20 - A pair of Lakewood teenagers were busted shoplifting from a Detroit Road store. The duo stole property wroth $194. Their fathers picked them up from the scene and both face Petty Theft charges.

Protection Order Violation, March 20 - Police say a 49-year-old resident violated his TPO when he decided to enter a Center Ridge Road home. The man has also called the residence prior to walking in. The prosecutor will decide the charges against the man.

Fraud, March 21 - The identity of a Dunford Avenue man was used to file a false US income tax return. The fraudster also applied online for Social Security account access. The matter was reported to police on March 21.

Fraud, March 23 - Three unauthorized $200 withdrawals were made from a Detroit Road man's bank account during Feb. 2017. After reviewing previous statement, the man found an additional three unauthorized withdrawals that took place in Nov. 2016, for a total loss of $1,200. The man has disputed all charges and reported the fraud on March 23.

Public Indecency, March 23 - Police say that a 26-year-old Cleveland man followed a Lorain woman around a First Street business, making kissing noises and vulgar motions. He was asked to leave my store management and the prosecutor is considering a Public Indecency charge.
