Wood Chips, Leaf Humus Delivery Starts Soon In Westlake

The city produces 6,000 yards of leaf humus and wood chips each year and sells them to residents and non-residents.

WESTLAKE, OH - The city's leaf humus and wood chip delivery will start soon. To order the products you'll need to visit Westlake City Hall, 27700 Hilliard Blvd. City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you purchase wood chips or leaf humus, the city's delivery options are Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12 p.m. through 3:30 p.m. Deliveries will start April 17. The city will not deliver on weekends or legal holidays.

The city's service center can only deliver 7 yards per stop and residents must purchase at least 1 yard per delivery. The city cannot delivery mixed load and stops cannot be scheduled for specific times on a day. There is also a $20 delivery fee per stop.

Saturday delivery will start on April 22 and drop off will be available from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Westlake operates a Class IV Compost Site and accepts all leaves collected throughout the city. The city says it collects approximately 58,000 leaves each year. The city processes and sells 6,000 yards of leaf humus and wood chips each year.
