There are lots more events occurring throughout April, and actually, throughout the year! Many are posted on the SciStarter website, but you can always search online and locate other websites to check out.  CitizenScience.gov is the official U.S. Government Citizen Science website. The European Union has an official CitizenScience website as well. Plus, many science agencies and organizations post citizen science projects on their websites.  For example, the NOAA has these two citizen science projects currently listed: Cyclone Center and CrowdMag. NASA has lots of projects on their webpage. And not all citizen science projects involve sitting at a computer, check out the many projects available in Ohio from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources! And finally, another great site to visit to locate citizen science projects is Zooniverse.

The library has both print and ebooks about becoming a Citizen Scientist and joining in with Citizen Science projects:

And for those who want to learn more about the science in general, you can always check out the library’s Science & Technology Resources, such as:

So all you science fans and anyone who wants to make a difference, I hope you join in with one of the many Citizen Science projects available this year!
