• CPD K9 Unit reinstated, apprehends suspect in first week of service (whitesboronewsrecord.com) — Collinsville’s K9 Unit is back on duty, and within its first week K9 Fido helped officers find methamphetamine during a traffic stop, leading to an arrest. The department credits the reinstated unit with supporting ongoing crime reduction in Collinsville and nearby communities. Residents can also donate to help cover Fido’s veterinary care, training, and equipment costs.
